Business Insurance

Every state has its own laws about the types of required Business Insurance that a company must have, and Arizona is no different. Two types of Business Insurance are required for many types of businesses in the state, and many other kinds are helpful but not mandated for Arizona businesses. For more information, call us at The Southwest Financial Center in Arizona.

Workers' Compensation Insurance

This type of insurance pays for employees' medical bills after they have been injured at work or developed a work-related illness. This insurance coverage is required of all Arizona businesses that employ one or more people, whether part-time or full-time. This does not include occasional workers, casual workers, domestic employees who work in a home, or independent contractors. This insurance coverage protects your business by leaving no reason for an injured employee to sue you for damages.

Business Auto Insurance

When your business owns a vehicle, it is required to be covered by a Business auto policy. The Business policy must have at least a set minimum for bodily injury for a single person and another amount required for two or more people injured in an accident. There is also a mandatory minimum amount of property damage liability from an accident. If you use your own vehicle for work tasks, but your business doesn't own it, you should get a type of policy known as hired and non-owned. This can protect your vehicle much better than having a personal policy on a car you use for work.
